Potential Effects and Practical Uses of the Oculus Quest 2
I wanted to take a bit of a different approach with this video and not so much treat it as a review of the Quest, rather a conversation of what we need to take note of being so early in the virtual reality timeline.
Technology has proven itself to be scary and dangerous when in the wrong hands or enabled with the wrong mentality. It's important to understand the aspects of this technology that can harm privacy, mental/physical health, and more. I wanted to take sometime and discuss the potential mental/physical effects of VR that I have experienced and more.
However, that is not to say that this is technology we should be afraid of because the Oculus Quest as well as its competitors in totality are incredible pieces of hardware that you should absolutely try if you get the chance. Maybe it's not for you, but understanding and experiencing it is truly remarkable.
I hope that this video provided you the information that you needed to finalize your decision on whether or not to purchase a Quest, but I hope it also gave you points to think about that you may not have previously considered.
