Meet Eirik Torheim, Executive MBA '24, who journeyed all the way from Norway to the Rady School to sharpen his entrepreneurial skills. 🌍
In his first quarter at UC San Diego, he met his co-founder, Bilgenur Baloglu, PhD, an expert in environmental DNA sequencing. Together, they're developing their startup, Wild Genomics, a cutting-edge tool to provide farmers with precision insights on crop health through genetic analysis. 🌱 Their aim is to develop a tool that not only saves farmers time and money but also minimizes the use of synthetic pesticides, preserving biodiversity and safeguarding the environment. 🌿
Wild Genomics recently won First Place in the Sullivan Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation's StartR Demo Day.
