Bridging Science and Entrepreneurship: Niall O’Donnell, Ph.D., MBA '06
As Managing Director of RiverVest Venture Partners, Dr. O’Donnell focuses on biopharmaceutical opportunities, building, and operating RiverVest portfolio companies by improving the lives of patients, supporting entrepreneurs, and driving returns to investors through developing life-changing medicines.
Niall is a co-founder and board member of Reneo (NASDAQ: RPHM), Curzion (acquired by Horizon Therapeutics) and Mirum (NASDAQ: MIRM). Board member of Amplyx (acquired by Pfizer, Inc.), Avalyn, Glycomine, Sparrow and Spruce ( NASDAQ: SPRB).
He was interim CEO of Reneo Pharmaceuticals, and was interim chief medical officer at Lumena Pharmaceuticals, prior to the company’s acquisition by Shire Plc (now part of Takeda America Holdings). Niall also helped co-found Excaliard Pharmaceuticals, Inc., acquired by Pfizer, Inc.
