What is new in the Minecraft Tricky Trials update?
The Minecraft "Tricky Trials" update, officially released on June 13, 2024, introduces a variety of new features and content aimed at enhancing gameplay through new challenges and decorative options. Here are the main highlights:
Trial Chambers: The centrepiece of this update is the Trial Chambers, procedurally generated underground dungeons constructed from new copper and tuff blocks. These chambers are filled with traps, puzzles, and hostile mobs, offering players the opportunity to engage in thrilling combat and puzzle-solving. Players can face waves of enemies and traps to gain access to Vaults containing valuable loot and can even tackle Ominous Trials for greater rewards.
New Mobs: Two new hostile mobs, the Breeze and the Bogged Skeleton, have been introduced. The Breeze is a wind-based enemy that can push players back with explosive wind attacks, while the Bogged Skeleton is a variant that shoots poisonous arrows.
New Weapon - The Mace: For the first time in years, a new weapon called the Mace has been added. This slow but powerful bludgeoning weapon deals significant area-of-effect damage and can be crafted using materials found in the Trial Chambers.
Automated Crafting with the Crafter: A Redstone-powered Crafter block has been introduced, allowing players to automate their crafting processes, streamlining the creation of items and blocks.
New Decorative Blocks and Items: The update adds a variety of new decorative blocks, including Copper Bulbs with variable light strength, new Tuff and Copper blocks, and numerous new banners, armour trims, pottery sherds, and paintings. Wolf Armour and Armadillo Scutes: A new feature related to wolves includes the introduction of wolf armour, which can be crafted using scutes dropped by armadillos. This armour protects wolves from damage and can be dyed in different colours. Additionally, wolves now have twice as much health and heal more effectively when fed.
