What are visual materials and why are there so many slots for them!? Which one should we use? And where do we put shaders? This tutorial looks at the different mesh material slots in Godot and explains the purpose of each one in turn. We then take two examples of shaders from GodotShaders.com and apply them to our mesh, reasoning which slot it should go in.
