World Builder Custom GPTs: Invasion of the Hive
CREATE ADVENTURES AND STORIES
This video shows how I used ChatGPT and customized GPTs to build simple random RPG adventures and narrative campaigns. Essentially it's just a massive random dice-roll table or a Game Master Oracle for role-players, but it uses ChatGPT to create the files. The results can be campaigns, universes, NPCs, maps and more. The output files can then be used in other ways.
JSON OUTPUT
These GPTs will build structured adventures in JSON files that can then be used in other programs, games, story ideas and even other chatbots acting as a DM or text-parser interface, like Zork.

These custom GPTs are made for entertainment. They are built on OpenAIs Custom GPT chat platform but they do not require any special APIs or external third-party tools. This introduced some limitations in what it can do but it also makes the GPTs available without needing the user to authenticate to other services.
WHAT STORY DID YOU BUILD THIS TIME?
This video shows us building the generic sci-fi campaign: "Invasion of the Hive"; illustrated with the help of DALLE-3.
It includes the game universe where the campaign takes place and 3-part adventure module, as well as extra NPCs. Feeding these files into an AI chatbot should allow you to have an interesting play-by-text experience. The files will be available on GitHub later this year.
