Infrared Filming - Blackmagic Pocket 4k + Hoya R72 IR Filter
Hi all!
Hope you find this video informative and interesting! I'm currently getting started in infrared photography and filming, in fact these are the first clips I shot when I picked up my Hoya filter the day this was uploaded.
Honestly my main reason for getting this out asap was my sheer excitement that it mostly works! I couldn't find anything during my research to suggest the pocket 4k would let enough IR through to make an IR-only image, only things out there were the videos on how to get rid of it.
So now I hope this fills the information gap for others like me who are curious about filming in IR but don't want to get their cameras converted immediately, it is possible and it really is a lot of fun.
Again the specs are as follows:
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k: ISO 1250, 190 deg shutter, shot in BRAW Q5
Tokina 11-16mm Cinema ATX lens @T3
Hoya R72 720nm Infrared Filter (82mm front lens diameter)
