To all early childhood educators – Happy Teachers Day!
This Teachers’ Day, I had the privilege to get to know Samantha, otherwise known as @AskTeacherSam on Instagram, a young early childhood educator currently pursuing her degree in early childhood with Singapore University of Social Science.
Samantha not only has a passion for young children, she also has a love for illustrating… about early childhood education! Marrying her passions, Samantha advocates for the importance of early childhood education through her illustrations. Of course, she uses her creative talent in the classrooms with the children as well.
Like Samantha, many of our early childhood educators too have multiple talents, which they use to create holistic learning experiences for our young children.
Some have talent in drawing or arts & crafts and can create beautiful teaching aids and props.
Some are great singers and dancers, engaging the children in musical learning journeys.
Some are great storytellers and actors; transporting the children to different worlds through the magic of stories and imagination.
Some are natural scientists; leading the children through amazing experiments and knowledge discovery.
Whatever their talents, they are passionate about the development and wellbeing of our young children, and work daily to lay a firm foundation for their growth. In the preschool, they perform multiple roles in caring for and teach our children with great love and devotion.
This Teachers’ Day, please take a moment to appreciate the creativity and efforts that our early childhood educators have put in to provide a good start for every child. Don’t forget to thank your child’s early childhood educator and wish them a Happy Teachers’ Day!
Here’s a short video that I have prepared with Samantha to wish all our early childhood educators a Happy Teachers’ Day.
