To prevent spark plugs from burning out, do this.
There are two types of spark plugs, these are the diameters of the spark plug insulators: 1) d10.5 and 2) d12.2. It's best to use a heat gun, as a lighter leaves soot that conducts electricity. Broken shields will puncture the ceramic on the spark plugs, and the spark plugs won't work properly; the car won't rev up, and it will misfire. However, if you put heat shrink on a good, working spark plug, the car won't misfire with poor shields. The spark plug gap is 0.7 mm when running on gas. The gap is 0.8 mm when running on gasoline.
