Metal bandsaw Automatic GRAVITY feed
Obviously, having no bigger steel pieces to make the ballast, I had to prolong the bar, that certainly could be shortened with heavier cylinders !! :-)
This is a banal modification to the Italian metal band saw Femi 780.
Nothing new; many people already use to hang or weigh the ballast on the tilting support of the blade. I just revised the system to make it a bit more comfortable and stylish.
This is a cylindrical support for a 16mm full steel bar. On this bar a ballast runs to adjust the force used by the blade to cut the workpiece.
