🔴In some cases, you may notice a drop in engine oil level without any obvious signs of an external leak, which raises the question: "Why is the engine oil low even though there is no visible leak?"
🔹In fact, there are two main possibilities:
Either there is an internal or hidden leak that is not easily visible to the naked eye,
or the oil is being burned inside the engine during operation.
🔹Sometimes, the oil light suddenly appears on the dashboard, indicating a low oil level. However, there are no obvious signs of leakage on the ground or around the engine. This is due to the presence of multiple areas where oil may leak without being noticed, such as the crankshaft oil seal or timing cover. These parts require a thorough inspection by a specialized technician to accurately determine the cause of the leak. It is very important to deal with these cases quickly, because a persistently low oil level without treatment can lead to serious engine problems, sometimes even permanent damage. To avoid any damage, it is recommended to check the engine oil level at least every two weeks using a dipstick, ensuring that the oil level is between the two marks (minimum and maximum). If the oil is below the minimum mark, it should be topped up immediately. Note that a slight decrease in the oil level over time is normal and does not cause concern. However, if you notice that the oil is decreasing frequently and rapidly without any visible leakage, the cause should be investigated immediately. 🔹In this video, we discuss in detail the possible causes of engine oil loss without a visible leak, how to differentiate between these causes, and the correct course of action in each case to protect your car's engine from any potential damage.
