The Rffj video features David, a father of 3 from Dundee.

David lives with son Simon and daughter Aimy, he has a residence order for both children.

His relationship to his youngest son was subjected to family court proceedings starting around 7 years ago; the sheriff ordered no direct contact and apart from one chance meeting, David has not seen his son for 6 years, the sheriff's decision was all the more confusing for David as having residency of his older two children deems him to be a capable father.

David was outraged at the way the courts could deny Cameron contact with his father and siblings in this way, so much so he conducted a rooftop demonstration in 2004.

David has taken part in many protests and demonstrations ever since, raising awareness of the issues parents can face in family law, due to his defiant stance he has been subject of court orders and curfews restricting his movements around his home town.

On the day of Cameron's eighth birthday David decorated the road surrounding his school with balloons, he hoped that Cameron would see that his dad still loves and misses him.

He sought police permission before going ahead with the balloon surprise; despite permission being granted he is now facing charges of harassment, the case against him will be funded by legal aid paid by taxpayers, and he potentially faces jail.

Cameron was kept off school that day by his maternal family so didn't get to see the balloon surprise, hopefully a few of his classmates' saw the birthday message and told him all about it; David has vowed to continue the protests until the family justice system recognises his son's rights to have a loving relationship with both parents.
