HHH Week 50 - The Hidden Life of a Nazi
This week on History Happy Hour: An upholster in Amsterdam discovers a treasure trove of Nazi documents inside an armchair he is repairing. That launches historian and author Daniel Lee on a quest to find out more about the S.S. officer the documents belonged to. Lee weaves detection with biography to tell an astonishing narrative of ambition and intimacy in the Third Reich in his book "The SS Officer’s Armchair: Uncovering the Hidden Life of a Nazi " His journey leads him to discover an American backstory plus a connection with his own family. Host Historians Chris Anderson and Rick Beyer talk to Daniel Lee Sunday at 4 PM Eastern on History Happy Hour, the spot where history is always on tap.
