Nakba Day takes place on 15 May and commemorates the Palestinian Catastrophe - when over 700,000 Palestinians were displaced and the overwhelming majority of Palestinian territory was declared to be part of the newly formed state of Israel. 2023 is the 75th anniversary of the Nakba.
On episode 7 of #BrightGreenLive, we spoke Ben Jamal, director of Palestine Solidarity Campaign about the legacy of the Nakba today, why it is commemorated and the nature of the ongoing occupation of Palestine.
