**Update: While you can technically drive a Ford F150 with 4x4 engaged on pavement, it is not recommended to do so for extended periods on dry, hard surfaces as it can cause excessive tire wear, increased noise, and potentially damage the drive components; 4x4 is primarily intended for slippery or loose terrain like snow, mud, or sand.**
