Easy fix for F1 error code on most mini split heat pumps 120/240v.

Talking today about easy fix for most mini split heat pumps 120v and 240v with F1 error code in display where temperature is displayed on front cover of unit. F1 error code is for both heating and cooling. F1 error code is for the temperature sensor malfunction. There are several different temperature sensors located in inside head unit and out side unit but we are only talking about the one located inside head unit. Open front cover and Simply wipe off temperatures sensor inside front cover next to coil. Remove all dust present to keep from happening again and clean screens and inside cover at least every 6 months to prevent F1 error code from reappearing. Close cover and start unit again. Hope this fixes your error code problem.
