PLOT: The story of Sniper Elite 5 takes place in 1944, during the crucial moments of World War II. The protagonist, Karl Fairburne, is sent to occupied France as part of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion that would culminate in D-Day. During his mission, Karl uncovers a Nazi conspiracy known as 'Operation Kraken', a secret plan that threatens to turn the tide of the war in favor of the Third Reich.
In order to prevent the execution of this plan, Karl must infiltrate Nazi-controlled territories, gather intelligence, and eliminate key figures involved in the operation. Throughout the campaign, he faces increasing challenges as he works alongside the French Resistance and the Allies to sabotage enemy efforts.
