Painting SHAOLIN SKATER skate deck
On display at the show DECKED OUT at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery in Fremont California May 9th — June 7th 2014.

Over 10 hours painting compressed to a ten minute observation of the creation of "Shaolin Skater" illustration on an actual skateboard deck.
The piece was first assembled digitally, using a variety of reference photos. A same-size mock-up was then printed and used to plot out line-work, and future reference. That same digital mock-up was also saved onto an ipad for use as a color guide.
A variety of acrylic paints were used in conjunction with some markers and pens to complete the finished piece.
