Trippy Beats & Single Cycle WaveForms on Elektron Digitakt
In this performance I am using the Elektron Digitakt as a stand-alone groovebox. Normally I have it integrated into a pretty complex MIDI set up in my studio but I feel the Digitakt is equally capable of making full tracks all by itself. In this performance I have my drum samples loaded along with some single-cycle waveforms set to loop playback & shaped with envelopes. These waveforms give me the timbres for melodic aspects of the track, whilst I have a beefy 808 sample for bass. All recorded in one take on a single stereo channel.
