Get Ready With Me! Caliban - The Tempest | Makeup Tutorial | Gavin Michaels
It's been a bloody blessing working on this production of Shakespeare's The Tempest. It's a play that, if I'm totally honest, I had a really hard time connecting to or appreciating in the beginning. But getting to work on it with this group of actors and such an amazing director, I've seen how much this play has to offer. It's a world of magic, comedy, romance, revenge, tragedy and more. It's a play that skillfully and effortlessly uses language to ask the questions that plague us all. Getting to play Caliban in particular has been such a different change of pace for me. Exploring extreme physicality, unrefined animal instinct and circumstantially tortured characters is new for me - but a welcome challenge. Again if you're able to come see it I highly recommend you do!
