This version of elementary OS feels fast compared to it's base, which is Ubuntu. The user interface looks compact, nice and clean. No wonder people called elementary OS as the most beautiful Linux distro once released.
Many elementary OS reviews said that the update between each release take so long. Agree with that, because it is not developed by a company unlike Ubuntu, but developed by groups and some helps from its community.
But their work result an elementary OS 6.1 which great and has a lot of improvements if you ever used the older elementary OS version. We can say slow work but creates great result.
Elementary OS install is not hard, just like installing other Linux distros. Only a small problem that is we can't use Windows EFI partition as the location for elementary OS GRUB/bootloader.
But, I cover the solution for that here by creating second EFI partition only for elementary OS. So it won't mess the Windows EFI partition, which would be a catastrophic incident.
We can install elementary OS dual boot Windows 10 or with Windows 11 by creating separate system partition from C: partition of Windows. So it will not disturb both operating system.
Another advantage of installing elementary OS alongside Windows is if the Windows encountered error, or it can't be booted, then we are able to access and even backup the important Windows files from elementary OS. So it can save your day.
Elementary OS install partition in this tutorial is using ext4 format for the root (/). If you don't want ext4, you can use btrfs partition which already known among Linux user with its advantages. Just don't forget to create another boot EFI partition.
That's all about how to install elementary OS alongside Windows 10 or 11. As I said before, feel free to ask in the comment below if you encounter a problem. I will help you.
