PLOT
====
Going off-screen before the video, I went and spent all the monies and bought Refreshers to give a final boost to everyone's stats.
Afterward, I enter the final chamber and make my way to the Dark King.
I don't want to spoil the Final Battle for you, so sit back and enjoy the show.
And thanks for watching

Mystic Quest Remastered
♦ A recreation of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest which aims to take you on the same epic journey ♦
Mystic Quest Remastered is today's adaptation of the classic Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest title which was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was rebuilt from the ground up and does its best to keep as much as the original as possible, while also providing a set of new and welcome changes.
♦ A true recreation of the classic RPG experience ♦
Right off the bat, from the looping theme song to the graphics, Mystic Quest Remastered takes you back 20 years when things were much simpler in terms of visuals and gameplay but still plenty of fun.
It relies on good looking pixel art, exploring revisits the top-down bird’s eye view, and interaction and movement are done using a handful of keys. The combat system is pretty much the same, with the exception that in Mystic Quest Remastered you can have up to four characters fighting together and the HUD layout is somewhat different.
♦ Equip your heroes with the items you want and fight the evil that lurks all around ♦
Just like in the original, monster random encounters no longer exist and are replaced with stationary minions. Fighting them is easy but defeating them, well that’s a different story. In Mystic Quest Remastered you still rely on a good battle plan and the proper time to engage because some monsters are simply too tough to beat at a low level.
Fortunately, your characters can be equipped with the items you pick up along the way. Potions and spells still play a huge role in the game and using them can completely turn around the outcome of a battle.
♦ Relive your childhood game in a new way or try a solid recreation of a true RPG ♦
On a closing note, you have to play Mystic Quest Remastered to really appreciate it. Of course, for the true Final Fantasy fans some things might not entirely please but looking at the bigger picture, it’s an honest overhaul of a classic.

Here is a version that is similar to the one I played (I can't remember how I found the particular version I had; I know I searched for a good while before I found it).

No logins or anything, but you do need to have RPG Maker VX RTP to make the game run, but the install for it is included in the download.
