Cricut Basics For Beginners (1) - How to Use Adhesive Vinyl
In this basics series, we’re going to go over different materials and cricut project types for beginners. Today we are talking about adhesive vinyl.

Terms to know:
Backing sheet – the paper backing layer that protect the adhesive of vinyl
Die cutter – machine that can cut intricate designs from a variety of craft materials
Vinyl Decal – design cut out of adhesive vinyl
Transfer tape – tacky, repositionable sheet of tape used to move decals from original backing to project surface
Weeding tool – instrument with sharp tip to help remove excess vinyl from cut design
Burnish – using a scraper or roller to smooth out design for transferring
