Ford F350 gets “emergency” makeover for SEMA
A six-time featured SEMA builder, Steven Ellis knows a thing or two about custom builds. Named one of SEMA’s “35 Under 35” in 2017, Steven owns and operates Urban Garage in Northern Arizona where he offers a wide variety of vehicle maintenance and aftermarket fabrication services.
Steven’s family has been evacuated from their home twice in the past few years due to fires in the region. After experiencing firsthand the assistance they received from first responders, he decided to become a search and rescue volunteer to give back to his community. And he’s not stopping there. Steven is bringing to SEMA a custom 1999 Ford F-350 Search & Rescue vehicle. He assured us that this truck will be used in the field and it’s not just a “show and go” vehicle.
The final build will be finished in desert tan and outfitted with a rooftop tent (RTT), rubber floors, ruggedized tablet, and searchlights, plus everything else a respectable search and rescue vehicle demands.
