Microsoft closes its only Japanese studio
In today's video I wanted to take a moment to discuss the absolutely insanity that has happened the past 2 weeks. Microsoft closes its only Japanese studio Tango Gameworks. While I will touch on Arkane Austin and the other two studios that closed, this video will have more of a focus on Tango Gameworks.
I have mentioned Shinji Mikami and his studio in multiple videos since I have been on Youtube. There is definitely a demograph of my subscribers are here for Japanese horror games. So this is something I simply had to talk about.
I am still in a state of disbelief that Microsoft believed this to be a good idea. As someone who has defended Xbox over other instances, I find this situation extremely disappointing. This entirely goes against everything we were told a few years ago. Please let me know down in the comments where you stand in all of this.
