Copacabana Beach is the most famous beach in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is, no doubt, the main Brazilian tourist city.
In the days of scorching heat it becomes a true oasis of cold water. Even with its 4 kilometers of extension and a wide strip of sand, it usually gets crowded on sunny days. Thousands of people enjoy the carioca way of life on the beach.
People play sports in Copacabana, some of them have been invented right there, on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, such as Altinha, Futevolei and Frescobol. But you also see the Beach Volleyball and even shuttlecock.
It is also a great familit attaction, a fun place for children who love to play at the water's edge.
In addition to the taste of a cold beer (for those who like alcoholic beverages), there is another trend launched on Rio's beaches: the consumption of the famous Mate-Leão with Globo biscuit, simple and very good! Coconut water is also a must!
But calm down, you don't have to get up to fetch, with a lot of street vendors, you can just wait for a salesperson to yell, "Olha o mate ... mate-leao gelado". Or, signal to the vendor at the sales stand that he will always be close to you.
