I am doing some final sound selections (with what's on the desk) for my upcoming Dune inspired album. I recorded myself overtone (throat) singing with the S-4's onboard microphone and looped it for drifting vocal textures.
For my album, I am seeking some core sounds to use across each piece for cohesiveness.
Lyra-8: Bass Drones, reedy highs
Enner: Electroacoustic textures, rhythmic pulses, wind, etc... (A true powerhouse of utility)
Cosmos: Drifting Atmospheres
S-4: Drone processor and effects
The next bigger series of videos will be sound design and selections for the SOMA Pipe, after it arrives. I have high hopes that it will be the exact instrument I am missing to begin the recording process.
This should feel somewhat mournful, mysterious, and perhaps uplifting in ways.
Deyr fé,
deyja frændur,
deyr sjálfur ið sama;
en orðstírr
deyr aldregi,
hveim er sér góðan getur.
Deyr fé,
deyja frændur,
deyr sjálfur ið sama.
Eg veit einn,
að aldrei deyr,
dómur um dauðan hvern.
