The future is a rag, a tapestry, its waft and weave extending infinitely hence and thence, from the unknowable epochs of the deep past to the inescapable entropic armageddon that, in time, awaits our very cosmos, and spanning also the infinite breadth of reality, from the smallest beasts which van Leeuwenhoek first brought into our conceptions, to whatever inconceivable arcane horrors dwell yet without it; few are gifted, as I am, to grasp this tapestry, this fiction, in its entirety, its grandiosity, and it is a burden I bear solemnly, knowing all the while that all but none amongst the innumerable races of men nor the ilks of other myriad beings see before them that which I am both blessed and cursed to perceive.
