Here is an example of a completed concrete cleaning and sealing project that our company performed. Sealing the concrete helps protect against rock salt damage, such as pitting or spalling, caused by the melting of ice and snow followed by the moisture refreezing. The expansion of the ice within the top surface of the concrete slowly ruptures, forming tiny holes and craters which continue to expand. Sealing concrete also helps protect against the vehicle and common household contaminants from setting in.
