This was my first year attending Miami Carnival. It was very interesting.
Miami Carnival is a family-friendly celebration of Caribbean culture that takes place in South Florida over Columbus Day weekend:
Miami Carnival takes place in October, starting the week before Columbus Day. In 2024, the Junior Carnival Competition will kick off the festivities on Saturday, October 5. The grand finale will be the Mas Band Parade and Concert on Carnival Sunday, October 13.
The event features a variety of activities, including pageantry, music, food, arts and crafts, and competitions. Some of the signature events include the Junior Carnival, Panorama, J'ouvert Mas, and the costumed Parade & Concert.
The event takes place in both Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Miami Carnival is the largest Carnival celebration in the United States. It's a celebration of Caribbean heritage and culture that brings people together from around the world.
