I can't recall exactly when I started hunting for achievements or why do I even want to do so but we finally did it! Unlike monster collection whereby you get some form of rewards via the exploration, there's totally no incentive for doing achievements other than the sense of achievement and satisfaction.
I would say that the journey itself is the reward - having fun times and memories together with my friends who were trying to help me clear some of the achievements, the pain and frustration of getting so close to completing them sometimes but ended up failing to do so and having to redo it, the list goes on.
Ironically, this achievement system is one of the main reasons why I'm still in the game when most of the players quitted after liberation and they felt like there was nothing much left to do in this game.
