This video discusses how to make an eating disorder recovery journal and tracker. Let us know if you find keeping a journal helpful!
Keep checking in on our channel this week, as it is Eating Disorder Awareness Week in Canada from February 1-7. We will be posting a video every day this week!
Here is the Mealtime Coping page:
SCARY FOODS
-Starve your self-hatred, not your body
-Recovery is scary, but so is staying stuck in an eating disorder
-Everything you want is on the other side of fear
-Food is not the enemy, your eating disorder is
MEALS WITH HIGH URGES
-The best way to defy your eating disorder is to pick up the fork and nourish your body
-Food is fuel
-You don't have to earn the right to eat
-The pain you feel today is the strength you'll have tomorrow
EMOTIONAL MEALS
-When recovery feels the most painful is often when you are making the most progress
-It comes and goes in waves
-You are capable, brave, and significant, even though you feel that you are not
-This meal will end and you will be OK
HIGH VOLUME MEALS
-If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit
-Listen to what your eating disorder stays, then do the complete opposite
-I will feed myself and fight my illness, not feed my illness and fight myself
