Giant solar filament earth directed November 15 2015
Boom take cover space men and women, This is about to get serious. Although the x-ray intensity is very low on this eruption, and we have to be grateful for that, this is directly aimed at us. This will impact the earth and at the very least cause solar storm. I say look for the effects to begin to reach us within 12-24 hours and continue for that long. Depending on cross currents which could delay it for another day. Normally a filament like this not aimed directly at is still has the potential to give us a solar storm. This one definitely does. I will add the official NOAA report after my amateur opinion when it comes in.
