Stone sculpting requires time and patience. When Ann is looking for a piece to sculpt, she has to feel strongly attached to it emotionally because she’s going to be working on it for a long time. This length of time also gives her a lot of time to process what it is that she’s trying to express – and it gives her time to examine it.
