Gail Hogan: As a couple plans their wedding reception, they put a lot of thought into the fun. A big part of the fun can be a photo booth rental. Joining me today, Chad and Sherry Zwayer of the Columbus PhotoBooth Company.
Gail Hogan: This is the photo booth. Why do you think it is a popular item for folks to feature at their wedding.
Chad: For several reasons, it's a great party favor, the guests get the photos right away. Secondly, not everybody likes to dance. All ages can have fun. Last but not least, we put together a photobooth album for the Bride and Groom and ask the guests to sign it. The bride and groom takes it as a keepsake.
Gail Hogan: Anybody can come in here...It's easy. They say cheese, they smile. Sherry: The photos are out in eight seconds and if ten people were in the booth, we give all ten people a picture.
Chad: We have plastic picture frames, which is a great way to enhance the favor. We have an external monitor, so guests standing around can join in on the fun and watch what is going on inside the photo booth. We also have what we call royal treatment where we rope it off with stanchions and a red carpet.
Gail Hogan: I went to the Columbus PhotoBooth Company website I saw that you also offer some proceeds to something called Dance Fund. What's that about, Chad?
Chad: We believe in giving back to our Central Ohio community. Dance Fund is a cancer research fund specifically for brain cancer. A portion of all the revenue is going back to the really good work that the researches do at Ohio State.
