In this series, we reimagine how ContentLayer (https://contentlayer.dev/) should work to optimize our usage of it in https://effect.website/. We aim to use the latest and greatest of Effect to make content processing deeply parallel and efficient.
ContentLayer was one of the first open-source projects implemented with Effect by Johannes Schickling (https://x.com/schickling). Its purpose was to build a general-purpose content management system that works independently of the framework used. Since its inception, the project has been well adopted but ultimately ended up unmaintained due to lack of funding.
