Bleass Granulizer is a really enjoyable and intuitive universal (iPad/iPhone) granular FX app for iOS, and this is a detailed walkthrough teaching you all you need to know about the app. It has an extremely cool multi-buss feature which allows you to mix together at random short snippets of audio from up to 4 different audio sources, and in this video tutorial I show how to set this up. Scale options allow for very musical granulation. With this you can basically pulverize something into granular mayhem, or come up with lovely harmonic arp- and chord-like effects. As always with Bleass apps, it has some great presets - which I demo on drums as well as melodic content - and a fantastically thought-through interface.

BLEASS Granulizer generates short samples (‘grains’) from input signal and plays them with certain properties such as :
Volume
Pan
Size ( = grain’s duration)
Offset ( = the amount of time between record and play)
Backward/Forward
Shape ( = grain’s envelope)
Warmth ( = strength of the distortion applied to the grain)
Tune ( = grains can be pitched up or down)
Grains properties are set randomly from a range set by the user using controls with the dice icons.
BLEASS Granulizer takes up to 4 sources from different busses as inputs. When multiple busses are on, each grain is randomly extracted from one of the available sources.
A Density control sets the frequency of grains creation.
Density, grain size and the offset range can be free or synchronized with the host’s tempo and transport status.

GRANULIZER stage:
Grains 3D visualizer. Height represents grain’s warmth, width represents grain’s pan and depth represents time. Touching the visualizer sets pan and density.

Tune mode choice between Fine, Chromatic, Major, Minor, 5th, Major 7th, Minor 7th and Octave
Tune random range.
If Tune mode is Fine and tune random range is 100%, a grain is pitched by a random value between -0.5 semitone and 0.5 semitone.
For other modes, pitch value can take the following values:
