FUSION 360 || RADIATOR CAP || MODELLING || ASSEMBLY || TUTORIAL
Radiator caps are for protecting the hoses and the radiator from bursting. When the water gets the heat from the engine and it enters into the radiator. The time for cooling it might not be enough thus the pressure inside increases. If this pressure rises more than 16 PSI(110kpa/1.1 bar) the pressure spring compresses and allows the fluid to the reservoir.
when the water cools down the vacuum will be created and this leads to open the vacuum valve. Thus the water returns to the reservoir and cools further.
The cap also increases the boiling point of water due to pressure.
