Making REST API Calls - Part 3D - Sending Rest Requests
In this video, Brian Watrous demonstrates how to send REST requests. Unlike the three previous videos, this one doesn’t introduce another REST API. Rather, this video shows how you can use the “Visualize” tab in conjunction with any REST API.

Downloading/Importing the Postman collection for this video:
1. Open up your favorite web browser.
2. Go to https://gitlab.com/brianwatrous/vvork (that’s vee-vee-oh-arr-kay not double-you-oh-arr-kay).
3. Go into the folder called “YouTube”.
4. Go into the folder called “Making REST API Calls”.
5. Go into the folder called “Collections”.
6. Click the file called “Visualizer_Examples.postman_collection.json”.
7. Click the download button (look on the right side of the screen under the “Permalink” button).
8. Save the .json file somewhere (e.g. your “Downloads” folder).
9. If you’re like me, immediately forget where you downloaded the .json file. ;-)
10. Open Postman.
11. Click “Collections”.
12. Click “Import”.
13. Click on “files”.
14. Browse to the folder where you downloaded the .json file.
15. Select the .json file.
16. Click “Open”.
17. Exclaim “Voilà!”.
