Wildlife webinar on the European hedgehog
In this digital lecture series, experts present the species conservation and nature education projects of the German Wildlife Foundation. Our fifth wildlife webinar focused entirely on the European hedgehog.
Lea-Carina Mendel, a staff member in the nature and species conservation department of the German Wildlife Foundation, discusses the hedgehog's way of life in the webinar. Originally, hedgehogs inhabited hedgerows, damp grasslands, and open deciduous forests. Today, the countryside is becoming increasingly monotonous, and hedgehogs are more frequently found in gardens and green spaces in cities.
