This has led to subpar movies that are all focused on using nostalgia to bait in audiences. To make audiences applause when they see an old character rather than to do something special for a character. From Spider-Man: No Way Home, to the Flash, to Deadpool and Wolverine, this is a problem that keeps on growing.
