Andy Serkis talks The Batman
We got an opportunity to interview Andy Serkis about the new Matt Reeves movie The Batman.
He talks about his role as Alfred and the more emotional relationship he has with Bruce than we've seen previously, how Alfred has a much more involved role this time around, and also about the morality of the actions Alfred takes in the movie.
Questions:
1) There's a complex and strained - but also beautiful - emotional connection between Alfred and Bruce that hasn't really been explored before. How did you approach and delve into this more emotional take on Alfred and the duos' almost father-son dynamic?
2) This Alfred gets to have his own explosive scenes, including some impressive deduction skills, what were your initial thoughts when you first read the script?
3) A lot of the films' core characters sit in a morally grey area, doing what they believe is the right thing. Do you think Alfred's actions were right?
