A perfectionist's take on being unemployed | Transitioning to work that suits me
I quit my corporate job in April, and was unemployed until the end of June 2021. I am a perfectionist, so it was really hard for me to not have a job for so long. I ALWAYS have to be doing something.
So, I went through the ups and downs. It was hard for me to enjoy myself actually, because it feels weird not having something steady to keep you going. I kept myself busy, as I always do. I had my projects, and I was slowly looking for that right job.
Slowly, I was able to relax and accept that I wasn't going to be unemployed forever. I mean, I was busy looking for my dream type of work. I was looking for part time work, so I could do what I wanted to on the side. I wanted to use my skillsets and make money, while still living my life.
