Psychology of the Strange investigates if your brain is lying to you about objective reality. In this video, we explore the perception of reality, neuroscience, and a different type of “simulation theory”. Is our perception of reality an illusion? We examine the neuroscience and evolutionary psychology behind how the human brain constructs our experience and why understanding these neural filters is essential for consciousness research and Near-Death Experiences (NDEs).

If the brain is a filter of reality, what happens to consciousness when that filter is removed? This study of the human mind and sensory perception provides the foundation for our ongoing investigation into NDE research and the survival of consciousness.
