Buick is bringing back the Electra nameplate, first used in 1959, for a new line of electric vehicles. We already knew this from a previous trademark application for the name, but a Buick spokesperson has confirmed that the first Electra model, an electric SUV, will be introduced in the United States in 2024. It would compete in the compact EV SUV segment with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model Y, and Volkswagen ID.4.
