This template is designed to help us map out the set of factors surrounding a given issue and to try to find leverage points in the system that may shift the dynamic. We first define what the challenge is, then map out the key elements affecting it and how they are interrelated. Along each of these dimensions we then look for different places to intervene along different levels of the iceberg, event, pattern, structural, model levels. Our aim here is not to create a solution but to ideate, possible intervention points around the given challenge that, if acted upon in a coordinated fashion, could possibly shift the system to a new dynamic.
