Ingredients
10 cups of water. Add more if you don't want as thick and bold.
5 cups of dried sorrel. Most people only brew 2-3 cups of sorrel, but I like mine strong.
1 1/2 cups of sugar (add more or less to your taste)
2 thumbs of ginger (add more or less for your taste)
1/2 cup of port wine (add more or less for your taste)
1 orange peel for garnish
Instructions
1. Rinse dried sorrel.
2. Peel and wash ginger.
3. Place sorrel, ginger and water in a pot until it boils.
4. Turn stove down to medium heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then let it sit overnight for a more potent flavor
5. Strain ingredients and throw away all particles.
6. Add sugar and port wine (according to your preference) to liquid. Add garnish to glass and serve with ice.
