Sowerby's whale live stranding
Sowerby's whale being released by the RNLI at Ballinagaul Co. Waterford. This was their first attempt and the whale beached itself shortly after this short clip. After they took it to deeper water it swam off and hasn't been seen since. Chances are slim that it will survive as it was quite weak and a long way from its feeding grounds, but it was given every chance by the heroic efforts of the crew from Helvick Head
