In this video, we will rank and explore Sylvester Stallone's 10 greatest movies. During the eighties and into the nineties, there were two men who ruled the roost when it came to action movies, Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Sylverster Stallone. And the way Stallone managed to achieve such a status was by giving us some of the most iconic characters of the era. Yes, whether we’re talking about John Rambo in First Blood or Rocky Balboa from the Rocky franchise, you couldn’t go anywhere back then without seeing Sly’s face on a billboard.
Of course, there’s more than just those two characters when we’re talking about his illustrious career though. No, there’s also his roles in the likes of Paradise Alley, Demolition Man, and Tango and Cash just to name a few. That said, it probably remains everyone’s favourite underdog boxer who is his most memorable creation. And that’s why it’s the character of Rocky who earned him not only three Academy Award nominations, but also a Golden Globe in 2016, quite a feat for a down and out guy from Philly.
And don't think that just because he’s well into his seventies now this means Sylvester Stallone is slowing down. No, he's still going as strong as he ever has been. In fact in recent years he’s even been the star of his own TV show, Tulsa King. And with this only being the tip of the iceberg for what he’s got planned over the coming decade, expect much more Sly on your screens as the years progress.
