Vaughan Dance Recital 2023
On Sunday, May 21 at the City Playhouse Theatre, young performers from Maple, North Thornhill and Vellore Village community centres showed off the routines they’ve practiced and perfected since the fall, at our inaugural Vaughan Dance recital. They dazzled us on stage during their ‘time to shine,’ and just like the stars they are, we want to remember them ‘dancing on air’ forever!
Ready to take the stage? A new season of our Vaughan Dance program for children – featuring recital and recreational streams – starts this fall at select community centres. From October to May, aspiring performers in the recital program (new dancers welcome!), are immersed in dance culture, learning the foundations of a variety of dance disciplines, including ballet and hip hop, in a studio-like setting. They’ll have their ‘time to shine’, performing live on stage in a spring recital at the City Playhouse Theatre.
